Monitoring and reporting for the Janet network

Monitoring over 1400 connections for more than 1000 users, providing insight into network status and performance

Netsight is being re-engineered with a new monitoring system, user interface and new user accounts management approach. Not all current functionality will be replicated in the re-engineered version, Netsight3. Some functionally will be incorporated into new Jisc operational and business support systems yet to launch.

We are keen to hear from members and customers interested in reviewing the new Beta version, especially those users who use Netsight in their operational centres or for insights when capacity planning. The planned launch for the Beta is 2nd July 2019. Requests to join the Beta will be collated and credentials issued near to the launch date. If you have an existing login account and wish to join the Beta programme, please email quoting your username and mentioning "Netsight3 Beta access" in your subject line.


Scheduled Netsight Maintenance There will normally be a short outage between 8am and 9am on the first Wednesday of every month for scheduled server maintenance. The next maintenance will be on Wednesday 7th August 2019.

Recent emergency maintenance of firewalls at Leeds and Slough resulted in short interruptions to monitoring of some connections. The emergency maintenance is now complete.
